A brand built at sea
sets its sights on land.

Studio DADO is an award-winning interior design studio best known for its work across the cruise industry. As the studio expanded into land-based hospitality, Motto was brought in to evolve the brand and bring their philosophy into sharper focus. Our work centered on aligning their business goals with a more intentional brand rooted in human-centered design. The result is a new identity, voice, and rallying cry that captures the essence that great design begins with how a space makes you feel.

A deeper story to unlock new markets and elevate recognition.

Studio DADO had a strong reputation designing for cruise lines, but faced an uphill climb breaking into the land-based hospitality market. While their work spoke volumes once they were in the room, it was harder to get in the door. They needed a clearer position, a unified voice, and a way to express what made their approach different. The goal was growth, not by changing who they were, but by telling their story with more intention and clarity.

The belief that interior design should move the people who move through it, became the foundation of the brand strategy. We helped give language to the instinct that had always guided them, shaping a clear philosophy rooted in empathy. Form Follows Feeling turns an old idea on its head. It says that a space shouldn’t just look good or work well, it should feel right. It should spark emotion and create connection. This philosophy became more than a tagline. It became the heart of the brand and a guiding light for how DADO shows up, grows, and designs with purpose.

Identity

Brand expression that
reflects the human experience.

We designed Studio DADO’s new visual identity to mirror the emotional richness of their work. A layered color palette shifts between warm and cool tones to reflect a wide range of feelings. Gradients add energy and depth, serving as a visual metaphor for emotion in motion, while the refined logo features softened curves for warmth and improved legibility.

That same emotional intention carries into the art direction, where the human experience takes center stage. We highlight real people in real spaces, using intimate cues, like a shadow on a wall or a book on a bed, to evoke the idea of “spaces lived deeply.” These quiet moments suggest lives unfolding just beyond the frame—spaces designed by humans, for humans, rich with feeling and story.

The new Studio DADO website brings their refreshed brand to life in a space as intentional as the ones they design. Built to support their move into land-based hospitality, the site balances feeling and function, elevating their philosophy of “Form Follows Feeling” with immersive visuals, thoughtful copy, and a structure designed to deepen credibility. Every page reflects their belief that design should move people, inviting visitors into a brand experience that feels as layered, human, and expressive as their spaces.
