Ashleigh is an entrepreneur, brand strategist and writer. Her ahead-of-the-trend vision—building brands around who they are and what they stand for—championed a brand movement years before it became a top business trend. She comes alive working with spirited companies who bring vibrant cultures, big ideas, and positive energy into the world.
Ashleigh has the unique ability to pull a compelling story from any brand and articulate meaning in a powerful way. Born and raised in Chicago, she comes from a family of entrepreneurs. Her grandfather started RAM Golf in the 1960’s and her father made golf clubs for pro players. For over the past decade, she’s been helping entrepreneurs and companies shape rad brands using a non-traditional approach. It’s fair to say Ashleigh’s greatest strength is untangling the wants, needs and ideas that exist in people’s minds, and shaping them into actionable positioning strategies that have the power to inspire and transform. She believes every brand can be a remarkable brand, it’s just a matter of finding the right angle to deliver a crush-worthy experience.
On September 3, 2019 she co-authored and released her new book Rare Breed, A Guide to Success for the Defiant, Dangerous and Different (HarperCollins). The book’s thesis is that rebellious, audacious, obsessed, weird and emotional are traits that should get you fired, but in the 2020’s, that’s a virtue for the successful in a world mired with lookalikes, bs artists and best practicing practitioners. At the heart of Rare Breed is an unorthodox business book that focuses on seven so called “vices” that society deems as unconventional and counterintuitive to success. Sunny and Ashleigh reframe them as virtues to be celebrated.
The book has garnered rave reviews and is catching fire in the entrepreneurial, young professional and creative communities. Sounds interesting? Grab a copy now.
She’s also the executive producer and co-host of the YouTube series, Rare Breed TV. Sunny and Ashleigh sit down with cultural provocateurs like famed Breakfast Club Host and Bestselling Author Charlamagne Tha God, PJ Morton of Maroon 5, Jon Batiste of The Stephen Colbert Show and many more.
She is a stellar baker, loves to travel (more road trips than jet sets), and dreams of sailing around the world one fine day. She’s currently writing her first book with Sunny about how great leaders defy the ordinary to build extraordinary brands.
