A new look at Autism

MeBe Case Study

A chance to help autistic kids and families live their best lives.

MeBe employs Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and several speech therapy principles to match the needs and objectives of children and families facing challenges related to speech, language or autism spectrum disorder.

MeBe’s owners approached Motto as Autism Outreach of Southern California with a vision to take their agency from a local business in San Diego and Seattle to a recognized national brand leading the industry.

I. Challenge

In an industry that all sounds, looks and feels the same, our objective was to carve out a whitespace for MeBe and create a brand and personality that truly communicated their unique differences.

As a leading behavioral health organization with a differentiated set of skills and services, MeBe had plenty to offer existing and future customers. In order to set the company up for growth and success, it needed to undergo a comprehensive rebrand and Motto led the charge every step of the way.

Parents of children impacted by autism are going through an emotional, sometimes difficult process.
 They feel uncertain and need answers. They are overwhelmed by treatment options. We created a brand for MeBe that made parents feel prioritized, optimistic, and cared for.

II. Solution

We guided MeBe through a comprehensive brand evolution to position the company as the truly unique organization that it is — one that every team member is proud to stand behind, and that families understand as results-oriented and nurturing.

Every aspect of the brand evokes the family feeling that grows out of the MeBe team’s shared passion for research-based strategies combined with a healthy does of fun. The new brand strategy defined their strategic differentiators, essence and brand architecture which was previously haphazard. The new name celebrates the core value of specialized care for each child and is inspired by idea of “being me.” The tone of voice and copywriting is warm, welcoming, fun and customer-centric. The visual language is brought to life through a dynamic brand identity system and colorful illustrations that bring you into the joyful MeBe world.

IV. Custom Icons

Illustrative icons to express complex ideas and keep the brand voice consistent.

For MeBe’s website and promotional materials, Motto developed an index of brand icons that were custom created to help bring some of MeBe’s core services to life.

V. Team Portraits

The MeBe staff were in need of some new photos of the team.

Motto worked with the MeBe team to art direct and shoot new headshots that captured the personality and vibe of the organization.

VI. Launch Event

MeBe celebrated their new brand with an family, friends, clients and employee launch event to re-introduce the brand to the world. Motto sent MeBe branded cupcakes to show our support, excitement and appreciation for them being such incredible clients!
